BTX Warranty Policy
The BTX Electroporation Generators and High Throughput Plate Handlers are guaranteed to be free of defects for a period of two (2) years from the time of delivery. Electrodes, chambers and accessories are warranted for a period of ninety (90) days. If any defects covered by this warranty appear within the above period, BTX, a division of Harvard Bioscience, Inc., shall have the option of repairing or replacing the equipment at their expense. Such repair or replacement shall be the customer’s exclusive remedy for breach of warranty or for negligence. The customer is responsible for costs associated with shipping the unit to and from BTX. All service under the warranty will be made at the Harvard Bioscience Holliston, MA facilities.
This warranty does not extend to any instrumentation which has been (a) subjected to misuse, neglect, accident or abuse, (b) repaired or altered by anyone other than BTX without BTX’s express and prior approval, (c) used in violation of instructions furnished by the BTX division of Harvard Bioscience, (d) if the instrument is used with parts, connections and electroporation chambers not manufactured by BTX.
The only approved monitoring equipment is the Enhancer 3000 High Voltage Probe. Failure to use the Enhancer 3000 High Voltage probe to connect a BTX Generator to an external digital oscilloscope for monitoring will result in voiding your warranty. Connecting directly to external monitoring equipment or modified monitoring setups will damage the Generator.
Harvard Apparatus shall not be liable for any special or consequential damages or for loss, damage or expense (whether or not caused by or resulting from BTX’s negligence) directly or indirectly arising from use of the instrumentation sold hereunder either separately or in combination with any other equipment or from any other cause.
The above warranty shall be in lieu of and excludes all other expressed or implied warranties or merchantability, fitness, or otherwise. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, BTX shall not be liable for any claims of any kind whatsoever, as to the equipment delivered or for non-delivery of equipment, and whether or not based on negligence.
