Difficult to Transfect Cells

Electroporation is a standard method used to transfect eukaryotic cells. Gene delivery by this method can be used to either stably or transiently transfect cells in order to study protein expression or to temporarily knockout or “silence” genes, or to stably integrate the gene into the genome of the cell for long term expression of a protein.
