Details

BTX Glass Microslides are used for cell fusion, somatic cell nuclear transfer, plant protplast fusion, hybridoma development and embryo manipulation applications. Readliy fit on a microscope stage for easy observation.

Consumable microslides are available in four gap sizes, 0.5, 1.0, 3.2 and 10 mm. The 0.5 and 1.0 mm microslides produce a divergent field of energy ideal for efficient embryo fusion, while the 3.2 and 10 mm slides provide a homogenous field for high fusion rates of hybridoma cells. The consumable Microslides are composed of a glass slide and two strips of stainless steel (round wire or rectangular bar) set in a plastic Petri dish.

Reusable oocyte petri electrodes have 15 mm length medical grade platinum electrodes, with a 1 mm gap, and provide a homogenous field for electroporation of oocytes, eggs, zygotes, or other cell types in small volumes. These reusable electrodes are permanently attached to a glass petri dish and come with a glass lid.

The Microslides are designed to easily fit on a microscope stage to allow easy observation of the alignment of cells during electroporation or electrofusion.
